Pythagorean Fuzzy Based AHP-VIKOR Integration to Assess Rail Transportation Systems in Turkey

Rail transit systems, one of the important public transportation (PT) are widespread in large cities to satisfy passengers or commuters for their daily trips. However, rail (RT) investments costly, and budgets minimal. Thus assessing RT systems big play a crucial role deciding on best investment. In this study, first time, two-stage fuzzy set is used among multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) studies area transportation. The proposed method unique technique integrating Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) Vise Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) techniques with an extension Pythagorean sets. manner, datasets from observations three lines Antalya, largest Turkey, applied method. Fuzzy (FAHP), commonly MCDM method, weighting four main criteria thirteen sub-factors. AHP strengthened by interval-valued numbers (IVPFNs). VIKOR (FVIKOR) approach then prioritization line alternatives. Results achieved analyzing not only real service observations, also actual expenditures costs. Consequently, uncertainty results thus minimized. Outcomes case study reveal most serviceable city evaluating criteria, namely economy, comfort, environment, safety. Therefore, methodologically contributes adopting new insight into integration methods set.
